THE ENEMY~! … Why is this important? … What do we do about it?

· Why is this important? … The enemy uses people and organizations to deceive, dominant and ultimately destroy!

I. The Enemy Is A Snake !

Genesis 3:1 … Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree in the garden.”

II. The Enemy Is A Thief & Murderer !

John 10:10 … The thief does not come except to steal , and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

III. The Enemy Is The “god of this world” !

II Corinthians 4:3,4 … But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, ⁴ whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

IV. The Enemy Is The … “accuser of our brethren” !

Revelation 12:10 … Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

V. The Enemy Appears As … “an angel of light” !

II Corinthians 11:14 … And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light .

· What do we do about it? … Put on the whole armor of God!

Ephesians 10:10-18 … Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. ¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ¹³ Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
¹⁴ Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. ¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; ¹⁸ praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—

Ephesians 6:18 … …praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Matthew 17:21 … However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.

II. Put On … The Helmet Of Salvation ! (Know so salvation! … See I John 5:13)

III. Strap On … The Breastplate Of Righteousness ! (See II Corinthians 5:21)

IV. Gird About … The Belt Of Truth ! (See John 8:32)

V. Raise Up … The Shield Of Faith ! (See Romans 10:17)

VI. Put On … The Gospel Shoes Of Preparation ! (See Matthew 28:18-20)
